Hunter

The hunter is the perennial outdoorsman and an expert tracker. Handy with many weapons, the hunter is equally at home in the African savannah or the jungles of Borneo. The hunter is trained in survival, hunting, tracking, and all of the other skills that become useful for extended journeys into the wilderness. Hunters can be snipers, trackers, scouts, or, as the name suggests, woodsmen.

Class Features

All of the following are class features of the hunter:

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: A hunter is proficient with all simple weapons, two forms of martial weapons, personal firearms, and light armor.

Favored Terrain:
At 1st level and every fourth level after (5th, 9th, 13th, and 17th), a hunter may select a type of terrain (Desert, Forest/Woodland, Prarie, Rainforest/Jungle, Mountains, Savanna, Swamp/Marsh, Taiga, Tundra ). The hunter gains a +2 bonus on skill checks using any of his class skills while in terrain of this type.  After first level, when the hunter selects an additional favored terrain, the bonus in any one favored terrain (including the one just selected, if so desired) increases by 2. If a specific location can conceivably be considered to fall into more than one category of favored terrain, the hunter's bonuses do not stack. Use whichever bonus is higher.

Track:
At first level, the hunter gains Track as a bonus feat.

Improved Track:
At sixth level, the hunter's tracking skills improve. The hunter receives a +4 competency bonus on any Survival checks made using the Track feat.

Advanced Track:
At twelfth level, the hunter develops extraordinary tracking skills. The hunter receives a +8 competency bonus on any Survival checks made using the Track feat. This includes the bonus from Improved Track; the two bonuses do not stack.

Bonus Feats:
At other levels, the hunter may choose a bonus feat from the following list: Acrobatic, Advanced Firearms Proficiency, Alertness, Animal Affinity, Athletic, Dead Aim, Endurance, Far Shot, Fleet of Foot, Guide, Improved Critical (ranged weapons only), Lightining Reflexes, Mounted Combat, Point Blank Shot, Precise Shot, Run, Shot on the Run, Skip Shot, Stealthy
The hunter must meet all the prerequisites for any bonus feat he chooses.
